Obama tells crowd 'the whole goal is to marry up'

"I hate following Michelle. She's go good. How lucky am I to be married to Michelle Obama. See for you men out there that are not yet married, let me explain the whole goal is to marry up. To try to improve your gene pool," said Obama during joint remarks at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Va.

"And we're lucky to have her as first lady of the United States I think," he added.

The president wasn't the only one doing the flirting. Mrs. Obama started off her remarks saying, "I haven't seen him in three days. This is a nice date. It's good to see you. You're looking good."

Obama couldn't resist bragging about his wife one more time.

"I just want to thank my extraordinary wife and Dr. Jill Biden our second lady for leading the effort to support our military families and making today possible. She does all this and she looks cute," he said.

The first lady was at the base to announce commitments from companies to hire veterans and their spouses.
