Obama: 'The powerful shouldn’t get to create' their own rules

Flanked by Vice President Biden and 13 lawmakers from both sides of the aisle, the president said the idea that all Americans play by the same set of rules is “one of our most cherished values.”

“The powerful shouldn’t get to create one set of rules while there’s a different set of rules for everybody else,” Obama said. “Especially at a time when there is a deficit of trust between this city and the rest of this country.”
