Obama: Congress 'refused to pass' jobs plan in full

President Obama slammed Congress for not passing his jobs bill, which he says would have put up to one million people back to work.

Speaking from the White House Briefing Room on Friday, Obama said his American Jobs Act was “full of bipartisan jobs ideas,” had “the support of the American people” and was “paid for in full.”

“But they left most of it just sitting there,” Obama said in his remarks, which were a last-minute add to his schedule. “And in light of the headwinds we’re now facing, I urge them to reconsider.”
