Obama: Complexity can 'no longer be an excuse for doing nothing'

President Obama pledged Wednesday that his newly announced working group on gun violence would bring him recommendations on "real reforms" by the end of January.

The group, to be led by Vice President Biden, is tasked with finding solutions to reduce gun violence in the wake of the Newtown, Conn., elementary school shootings.

The president said Wednesday that the team "has a very specific task - to pull together real reforms, right now," pledging the task force would present concrete conclusions by the end of January.

"The fact that this problem is complex can no longer be an excuse for doing nothing," Obama said.
