President Obama boasts it’ll take more than a few surfing lessons for his daughters to be able to catch a wave as well as he does.
When asked in an interview this week with
Hawaii station KITV if he’s teaching kids Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, how to body surf, Obama replied, “You know, they’ve actually been taking some surfing lessons the last few times they’ve been out there. They do pretty good.”
He then added with a smile, “They’re still not as good as their dad.”
Obama, a Hawaii native, said he intends to take in more of the ocean air in The Aloha State after 2016. “I’m going to be spending more time post-presidency in Hawaii than I’ve been able to do as president,” he said.
The president says of his annual Christmas vacation spot, “I love the place, the girls love the place, [and] Michelle.”
