Biden gives clues in 'Jeopardy!' appearance

Vice President Biden made Alex Trebek’s job a little easier on an episode of “Jeopardy!” that aired Thursday, delivering the answers to contestants in a category on the vice presidency.

In a pre-taped series of clues, Biden quizzed the trivia show’s competitors on such historical figures as the nation’s first vice president to serve, John Adams, to the first vice president to resign, John C. Calhoun.

One of the VP’s answers was also designated as the game’s “Daily Double.” A contestant bid $1,000 and won after correctly replying to Biden’s query: “The vice president is a member of the Board of Regents of this, ‘America’s Attic.’ ” For those still scratching their heads — it’s the Smithsonian.

It wasn’t the first cameo by Biden on the long-running game show. In 2012, Biden recited the clues for a category called “Cars in America.”
