Watch Live: Trump holds rally in Phoenix

President Trump is holding a campaign-style rally in Phoenix on Tuesday night where he is expected to defend his hard-line stance on immigration.

Trump will be speaking at his first campaign event following backlash over his response to a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., earlier this month that turned violent.

The president is expected to defend his immigration agenda during the rally and seek to pressure Congress for more than $1 billion to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump will be speaking in the home state of two of his top GOP critics, Arizona Sens. Jeff Flake and John McCain, and his rally follows Trump's announcement of a troop surge in Afghanistan.

Trump is expected to speak at 10 p.m. Watch live in the video above.
