Watch live: Trump hosts bipartisan meeting on tax reform at White House

President Trump is holding a bipartisan meeting Wednesday afternoon with 13 House members at the White House to discuss tax reform.

The meeting comes after Trump broke with GOP leaders last week to side with Democrats on a bill to fund the government for three months, raise the nation's debt limit and provide emergency relief funding for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The bipartisan meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:45 p.m. Later Wednesday evening, Trump is slated to meet with congressional leadership for dinner at the White House.

The dinner with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was confirmed by the White House and a source familiar with the meeting.

Schumer and Pelosi will use the sit-down to push for legislation to protect undocumented immigrants brought into the U.S. illegally as minors, as well as stabilizing the health insurance market — two top priorities for Democrats, according to a source.
