Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa said he wants President Obama to "fight harder" for his policy positions.
"We're going to be backing the president, but we want him to fight harder. We don't want him to be rolled over like he was regarding to unemployment in December. We don't want him to be rolled over like he did recently…he basically got starred down and he blinked and we want him to fight harder," said Hoffa on MSNBC Friday.
Hoffa said that although he would like Obama to push harder against the Republican agenda, the Teamsters would support him in the 2012 presidential election.
"Where are we going to go? Support Rick Perry? You look at the dynamics of this, there's really not a real choice," said Hoffa.
Hoffa called on Obama to "draw a line in the sand" and rally the Democratic base.
