Huntsman ad attacks Romney's jobs record

By Geneva Sands - 09/06/11 11:38 AM ET

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman's presidential campaign attacked GOP rival and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's jobs proposal with a Web ad Tuesday.

The video, "#1 vs. #41," aims to compare Huntsman's job-creation record as Utah governor to Romney's in Massachusetts.

"Jon Huntsman quietly, thoughtfully led Utah to leading the nation in job creation. Jon Huntsman, Utah, number one. About the same time another governor led Massachusetts, led them close to the very bottom," says the ad.

Romney previewed his economic plan in a Tuesday op-ed in USA Today and will lay out more of his proposal in a speech today. Huntsman's campaign touted his own jobs plan, focused on tax and regulatory reform, which he released last week.
