After a campaign event in Newton, Iowa, on Tuesday, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) was heard saying “I agree” after speaking with a man who called for President Obama’s impeachment.
"When will we impeach him and get him out of the way? He should be," said the man at the event.
"Well, I'll tell you, I'll tell you. It is. I agree, I agree," said Bachmann.
The presidential hopeful then moved on to speak with other people in the crowd.
"Some people are really upset," she said while walking away.
Bachmann's spokeswoman disputed the meaning of her comment, telling CBS the congresswoman was not saying she agreed that Obama should be impeached, but rather was agreeing with the man's earlier statement that people were frustrated with the president.
