Republican groups target NC Dem in House race

By Cameron Joseph - 11/10/11 02:06 PM ET

The National Republican Congressional Committee and the Republican-affiliated American Action Network are both up with new ads attacking Rep. Larry Kissell (D-N.C.), who has become a top GOP target since redistricting made his district much harder to hold.

The NRCC’s buy is a small, $10,000 campaign that will run on cable in Charlotte, N.C., criticizing Kissell’s support of President Obama’s stimulus package in 2009. The AAN’s buy has more money behind it and calls on Kissell to vote for a balanced-budget amendment to the Constitution, leaving out the fact that he has co-sponsored legislation for such an amendment.
