Huntsman runs out the clock trying to strut his stuff on China

By Joshua Altman - 11/12/11 10:34 PM ET

Debate moderators were strict with the time clock Saturday, and Former Gov. Jon Huntsman (Utah) crossed the line trying to give a detailed answer on his area of expertise: China.

"The reality is a little different, as it usually is when you're on the ground," Huntsman, the former U.S. ambassador to China began before contradicting answers given by Mitt Romney and Herman Cain.

“There are 500 million Internet users in China, and 80 million bloggers,” Huntsman tried to squeeze in before getting cut off by Scott Pelley of CBS News.

Huntsman was able to come closer to finishing his answer, adding that the Internet users will bring down China's regime allowing for an elevation of U.S. manufacturing.

Earlier Saturday, Huntsman released a web video focusing on his foreign policy credentials and his advantage in that area over other the other candidates.
