Bachmann's first thought on Romney: 'Vice president'

By Geneva Sands - 11/22/11 05:25 PM ET

Republican presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann (Minn.) joked that the first word she thought of when Mitt Romney came to mind was "vice president."

During an interview on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Monday, the Minnesota congresswoman was playing the game "one word," where host Fallon said a word and Bachmann had to share the first thing that came to mind.

Bachmann actually said "hair" first when Romney's name was mentioned, but then changed her mind and went with "vice president."

When asked what her first one-word association was for Newt Gingrich, Bachmann replied “Newt.” For Herman Cain, she named the number "nine." She said the first word in her head when she thought of Sarah Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, was “gorgeous” and her first thought for President Obama was “finished.”

When Fallon said Rick Perry's name, Bachmann couldn't resist poking fun at the Texas governor's recent debate gaffe, when he couldn't remember the third government agency he would close if elected president.

"That's not one word. I've got to do three. Governor, Texas ... I can't remember that third one ... oops," Bachmann joked.

When it came time for her own name, "Bachmann," she quickly responded with "president."

Bachmann will get the chance to debate Romney along with her other rival GOP candidates at Tuesday's CNN national security debate in Washington.
