Huntsman: Expanded drone program 'would serve our national interests'

By Geneva Sands - 11/22/11 10:17 PM ET

Presidential candidate Jon Huntsman advocated the use of an expanded military drone campaign in Pakistan to target national security threats.

"Pakistan is a concern. That's the country that ought to keep everybody up at night," said Huntsman Tuesday at the CNN Republican national security debate at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington.

"It's a haven for bad behavior, it's a haven for training the people who seek to do us harm. And an expanded drone program is something that would serve our national interests. I think it must be done," Huntsman said.
