Obama “believes that government has the answers to all of the challenges,” the White House hopeful said. “That government can do a better job guiding our economy than can free people. That government can tell us how to live our lives better than can free people. He’s wrong.”
Conservatives have consistently criticized the president for what they say are European-style policies of wealth redistribution and government meddling.
On Tuesday, Romney echoed that sentiment.
“I think he takes his inspiration from the Europeans,” he continued. “They think the government is the best source of building a future for their people. Europe isn’t working in Europe. It’s not going to work here. I believe in America, I believe in American freedom.”
