Club for Growth targets centrist Republicans in ad campaign

The Club for Growth’s political apparatus will air more than $500,000 in television ads undercutting centrist Republican candidates in Texas, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Two wings of the fiscally conservative group, Club for Growth PAC and Club for Growth Action, will target Reps. Tim Murphy (R-Pa.) and Fred Upton (R-Mich.), plus Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst (R), who is running for retiring Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison’s (R-Texas) seat.
