Gingrich and Romney agree on English language

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) Monday defended campaigning in Spanish while advocating English as a national language.

Gingrich noted that the way to unify the nation, where hundreds of different languaes arre spoken, is to institute English as the official language. Candidate Romney agreed with Gingrich. Candidate Paul also favored English as the official language, but would like to leave it to individual states to determine what other languages may be officially used.
