Newt Gingrich said his background and past accomplishments in politics makes him far better than most other politicians.
"I think one of the differences between me and the other candidates is that I have organized very large projects," Gingrich told The Christian Broadcasting Network. "I have organized the Contract for America, 350 House members. We did 10 major projects in 93 days, the balanced budget amendment, welfare reform, big things.
"So, I think that my ability to organize and orchestrate things would be vastly greater than a normal politician."
Gingrich also said that he would try to use the Equal Protection Clause (which extends the Bill of Rights to the states) in the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
"And I think also, that you want to be able to move the country forward on several fronts at once," Gingrich continued. "So I would see a very important issue in the question of using the 14th Amendment to define personhood could be moving in parallel with an effort to abolish ObamaCare, and an effort to cut taxes and create jobs."
Gingrich also suggested that with him in office, there would be no more gridlock in Congress.
"And there’s no reason that 535 elected members in the House and Senate can’t do three or four things in parallel and not just wait for them to come," Gingrich said.
Congress has been polling at historic lows in the past due to gridlocks. One of the lowest moments of congressional approval came during the August 2011 debt-ceiling negotiations where Congress and President Obama just narrowly avoided a government shutdown by hammering out a deal with little time left.
