Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio) is going on the air with her first ads of
her primary campaign against Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), a
positive ad intended to introduce her to new voters.
Kaptur and Kucinich were drawn into the same district when the GOP-controlled legislature redrew the state's congressional maps, pitting the two friends and fellow Democrats against each other in a primary.
Kaptur's campaign will spend about $90,000 to run the 30-second spot in the Cleveland area and has reserved a total of $300,000 to $400,000 of airtime for the primary, The Plain Dealer reported.
