Santorum criticizes Obama for letting daughter visit Mexico with friends

Rick Santorum criticized President Obama on Tuesday for allowing his teenage daughter to visit Mexico despite State Department travel warnings.

Santorum said the president should "set an example."

"When the government is saying this is not safe, you don't set the example by sending your kids down there," Santorum, a father of seven, said on The Glenn Beck Program. "I'm not being critical of what his daughter wanted to do, she obviously had friends going there, I'm sure she wanted to go along. But I think you have a higher duty when you're president ... you're not above the law."

Beck later clarified that the State Department's travel warnings were not in effect for Oaxaca, where Obama's daughter Malia was reportedly traveling.
