The pro-Republican outside group Crossroads GPS is spending $10 million on a new ad targeting disillusioned voters who backed President Obama in 2008.
The new ad opens by showing a mom watching her younger children play basketball, then fades into the present day, when they are now adults — and still living at home.
"I always loved watching the kids play basketball. I still do, even though things have changed," the ad's narrator says. "It's funny — they can't find jobs to get their careers started, and I can't afford to retire, and now we're all living together again. I supported President Obama because he spoke so beautifully. He promised change, but things changed for the worse."
The ad then goes on to hit Obama on spending and the deficit.
It is airing in 10 big swing states: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
