Actress Sarah Jessica Parker on Sunday touted President Obama's reelection efforts in the campaign's first national televised ad.
The spot aired during the MTV Movie Awards and was likely aimed at younger voters — a group that supported Obama in 2008 and which he'll need again in 2012.
The 30-second ad featured the "Sex and the City" star touting the president as "the guy who created 4 million jobs."
"OK, the guy who ended the war in Iraq, the guy who says you should be able to marry anyone you want and the guy who created 4 million jobs — that guy, President Obama and Michelle, are coming to my house for dinner on June 14 and I want you to be there too."
Parker and Vogue editor Anna Wintour are co-hosting next week's dinner at Parker's New York home as a fundraiser for the Obama campaign. Those who donate $3 or more can be entered to win a seat at the dinner table.
Last month actor George Clooney held a similar fundraiser for Obama at his Hollywood home, raking in $15 million in donations.
Obama heads to New York City on Monday evening for three campaign fundraisers with former President Bill Clinton.
