Restore Our Future, a super-PAC backing Mitt Romney, is up with a new ad in nine states blasting President Obama for his recent remarks that the private sector is "doing fine."
"America's jobless rate just went up — again," the ad's narrator says. "But after a record 40 straight months of unemployment over 8 percent, President Obama insists, 'The private sector is doing fine.' Twenty-three million Americans can't find full-time jobs; 30 percent have been out of work for over a year; and under Obama, 800,000 more women are unemployed."
It then repeats Obama's comments twice.
The ad's theme closely mirrors one put out by Romney's official campaign last week, which hit Obama on the same remarks.
The ad has $7.6 million behind it and is on the air in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. It will stay up through June 30. The group recently got a $10 million injection from billionaire Sheldon Adelson, who'd previously backed Newt Gingrich.
