Sen. Kyl: 'Neither party gets blamed’ when they work together

The Senate minority whip, who is retiring at the end of
2012, said Monday that given the divided Congress, both parties could
engage in some "political jujitsu," offering each other political cover
if they could find a way to come together on a grand bargain.
you have a divided government, parties can get together to do things and
then neither party gets blamed for the result," he said on a breakfast
panel hosted by The Hill and sponsored by Holland & Knight. "There
is an opportunity right now that is unique, if we will seize it."
