Hollywood superstar Samuel L. Jackson lent his star power to the Jewish Council for Education and Research (JCER), a liberal super-PAC, in a new campaign ad that tells voters to "wake the f--k up".
In a spoof of Adam Mansbach's adult-themed children's book Go the F--k to Sleep — which Jackson originally provided narration for — the action movie star hurls profanity-laced quips at unsuspecting people about the high stakes in this year's presidential election.
"Sorry, my friend, but there's no time to snore," Jackson rhymes, "And out-of-touch millionaires just declared war. On schools, the environment, unions, fair pay/ We're all on our own if Romney has his way. And he's against safety nets — if you fall, tough luck/ So I strongly suggest that you wake the f--k up."
The script for the online-only video was written by Mansbach.
The New York City based-JCER is also behind similar political spoofs like comedian Sarah Silverman's pro-President Obama viral video. Jackson, who is an outspoken supporter of President Obama, campaigned for Democrats in 2008 and often uses Twitter to voice his political views.
