The Obama campaign on Wednesday released a new Web video congratulating the president and Michelle Obama on their 20th wedding anniversary.
The video is branded with the Obama/Biden logo. Text at the end invites viewers to "share this with the one you love."
The campaign is also inviting supporters to sign an anniversary card for the president and first lady.
The video features clips pieced together mainly from past interviews in which the Obamas told their love story, including the tale of their first date and first kiss.
But some of Obama’s narration is new to the video.
“What Michelle and Malia and Sasha do is remind me of why I do what I do,” he says in the video. “At the end of your life, there’s probably two things you’re going to remember: You’re going to remember who you loved, and those moments that you had with the people you loved. And you’re going to remember what you did for others, starting with your own kids.”
The first lady will watch the presidential debate — the first of the election cycle — at the University of Denver on Wednesday evening, their anniversary date. The president previously said their private celebration of the anniversary will have to wait until the weekend.
"It’s twenty years,” Michelle Obama tells the president in the video. “I don't want to put too much pressure on you. I know you've got an election going on. But, you know, it'd be great if you surprised me with something nice."
"I'll do my best,” the president promises.
