Donald Trump joined former GE executive Jack Welch in accusing President Obama of tampering with the most recent jobs report, which found unemployment nationwide dipping from 8.1 to 7.8 percent.
"A lot of monkey business," Trump told Fox News on Monday. "I'm telling you in a month and a half from now, they will do a readjustment like has been happening for the last year and a half. They will do a readjustment and the number will be 8.2 or more."
Trump went on to say that the government had prevented layoffs of "certain workers" until after the election.
"Everyone knows he didn't want to lay off certain workers in certain categories and that's been well documented and well reported that he didn't want to lay off certain workers in certain categories until after the election," Trump said. "I mean, that's monkeying with the numbers."
The real estate mogul and reality television star also predicted that President Obama could go to war with Iran if his poll numbers continued to slip.
"Now, it will be very interesting, I have been predicting for a long time, I've made a lot of accurate predictions," Trump said. "I've been predicting that in order to maybe get his poll numbers up, this guy would go into Iran and my opinion, that's the only way he's going to win the election. I've been saying that for a long time and now he's doing badly. He's been exposed."
Trump added that Obama's foreign policy was a "total disgrace" and a "total disaster" ahead of a major foreign policy address planned by Republican nominee Mitt Romney on Monday.
"I guess you would have to say it's a joke," Trump said. "It's so bad, it's so out of control, nobody has ever seen anything like this. Everything that we've touched has turned to garbage."
