Honey Boo Boo prefers Obama over Romney

By Geneva Sands - 10/16/12 01:17 PM ET

Alana Thompson, known as Honey Boo Boo, announced her support of President Obama on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Monday night.

The star of TLC's reality television show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," who appeared on the show with her mother, June, was first asked by the late-night host if she knew of Mitt Romney.

"No," Thompson said with her arms crossed.

When asked if she was familiar with Barack Obama, Thompson replied, "the president?"

Kimmel went on to inquire whether the youth pageant contestant, first seen on TLC's "Toddlers & Tiaras," had heard that Romney chose Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi of "Jersey Shore" fame over Honey Boo Boo. Last month, Romney said, ”I’m kind of a Snooki fan," when questioned about who he would pick between the two on ABC’s “Live with Kelly and Michael."

"Look how tiny she’s gotten. She’s lost weight. She’s energetic. Just her spark-plug personality," Romney said of Snooki.

"So now I have to ask you, who are you going to support for president? Mitt Romney or Barack Obama?" Kimmel asked.

After clarification that it was Romney who picked Snooki, Honey Boo Boo pointed her finger and announced, "Barack Obama."
