Paul Ryan votes in Wisconsin

By Alicia M. Cohn - 11/06/12 11:12 AM ET

Paul Ryan voted in Wisconsin on Tuesday, merely laughing when asked by reporters for whom he cast his vote.

Ryan likely checked the box by his name twice on the ballot, once for the Republican presidential ticket and also for his reelection as Wisconsin congressman. Wisconsin law permits him to run for both at the same time.

The GOP vice presidential nominee voted at the Hedberg Public Library in his home town of Janesville, Wis. Mitt and Ann Romney also voted in Belmont, Mass., on Tuesday.

Ryan brought two of his children into the voting booth with him. His wife, Janna, also voted at the library.

From Wisconsin, the Ryan family is hopping on a plane headed east. Ryan will appear at two campaign events on Tuesday afternoon, in Cleveland and Richmond.

Ryan, Mitt Romney and their families will all be in Boston at campaign headquarters to watch votes come in on Tuesday night.
