Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) reelection campaign on Wednesday released a light-hearted video that features a student volunteer wearing a McConnell mask engaging in the latest viral dance sensation, the Harlem Shake.
In the video, which takes place at the iconic Churchill Downs, where the Kentucky Derby is held, the McConnell stand-in is joined by a group of other student volunteers dressed, in typical Harlem Shake tradition, in costume.
The students and the McConnell-masked stand-in dance for about 30 seconds in what's only the fourth video of McConnell's campaign this year. The most recent video issued by his campaign pokes fun at Democratic efforts to find a candidate to run against McConnell.
McConnell campaign manager Jesse Benton said in an email to The Hill that the video was the idea of a local College Republican group and shows "we are going to work very hard in this campaign but also have a lot of fun!"
