The Hill's Daniel Strauss talks GOP race on Bloggingheads TV

The two discussed Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman's inability to gain traction in the campaign and convey his message as a conservative to the electorate.

"I think on the surface, certainly temperamentally in this election cycle, he seems more moderate in the sense that the GOP and the conservative base want someone that is the antithesis of President Obama in temperament," said Strauss.

However, Strauss pointed out that Huntsman's policy record is actually quite conservative.

"He really doesn't look very liberal, from tax policy to abortion. These are pretty conservative stances," he added.
