The Hill's Amie Parnes talks debate prep on 'Today'

By Geneva Sands - 10/22/12 11:47 AM ET

The Hill's White House reporter Amie Parnes joined NBC's "Today Show" to share the inside scoop on presidential debate preparations.

"Everything is rehearsed, and rehearsed, and rehearsed," said Parnes, in a segment that aired Monday morning.

Parnes pointed out that the president's last meal before one of the debates was "steak and potatoes."

"And the campaign put that out there," she said.

On the Republican side, Parnes said that "Mitt Romney was coached on how to sit on a stool."

Read the latest news and analysis ahead of Monday's third and final presidential match-up, which is set to take place at 9:00 p.m. EDT in Boca Raton, Fla.
