Gov. McDonnell jabs Biden on state mix-up

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) exacted revenge on Vice President Biden for slipping up earlier this month and saying he was in North Carolina when he was actually in McDonnell's home state.

"Are you ready to elect Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in 70 days?" the Virginia governor asked the crowd in his speech before the GOP convention in Tampa, Fla. "Imagine that, we'll have a president who actually knows how to create jobs, and a vice president who actually knows what state he's in."

On Aug. 14, Biden said in a speech in Virginia, "With you, we can win North Carolina again."

Like other Republicans, McDonnell hit the Obama administration for failing to do enough to create jobs, and to allow a massive increase in the federal debt over his three and a half years.
