Bachmann: Congress should not pass president’s jobs plan

By Erica Wisniewski - 09/08/11 09:43 PM ET

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) responded to President Obamas jobs plan, saying, Not only should Congress not pass this plan, I say, Mr. President, stop — your last plan hasnt worked and its hurting the American economy.

The president announced his jobs initiative Thursday night before a joint session of Congress. Although Republicans did not offer an official response to the presidents speech, House Speaker John Boehners (R-Ohio) office did issue a news release stating that the GOP will consider the presidents proposal.

Bachmann gave her own response to reporters in the House studio after Obama’s speech.
