Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) responded to President Obama’s jobs plan, saying, “Not only should Congress not pass this plan, I say, ‘Mr. President, stop — your last plan hasn’t worked and it’s hurting the American economy.’”
The president announced his jobs initiative Thursday night before a joint session of Congress. Although Republicans did not offer an official response to the president’s speech, House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) office did issue a news release stating that the GOP will consider the president’s proposal.
Bachmann gave her own response to reporters in the House studio after Obama’s speech.
