Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.) said Friday that the $535 million Solyndra loan guarantee made to now-defunct solar firm Solyndra was a result of "dumbness" but not criminal misbehavior.
“There was no criminal or serious misbehavior here, there just was some dumbness," Dingell said as he was finishing his questioning of two Treasury Department officials before the House Energy and Commerce committee.
Dingell said he continues to support federal financing of solar power to compete with global leaders Germany and China.
