Former Vice President Dick Cheney said he was never bothered by the Darth Vader jokes about him.
“You need to have a pretty thick skin just to get up every morning and function [as vice president] ... I never let it bother me. We used to joke about it,” Cheney said on MSNBC’s "Morning Joe."
Cheney was interviewed about his new memoir, In My Time and was asked about his transformation in the White House after the Sept. 11 attacks.
“Part of it had to do with the fact, the nature of the job. I was doing something that hadn’t been done very often as Vice President.”
