Gov. Christie 'looking good'

An audience member at Gov. Chris Christie’s (R-N.J.) town hall on Thursday remarked that he’s “looking good” now that he’s exercising.

Christie responded to constituents’ concerns at the first town hall of his second term.

The governor shared an anecdote in response to the constituent’s compliment.

“A middle-school student came up to me and said 'governor, you’re getting a lot smaller,' ” Christie said, adding that he thanked her.

"The girl then asked ‘When are you going to get really small?’ "

“Rome was not unbuilt in a day,” Christie told her.

A year ago, Christie underwent gastric banding surgery to help him reduce the amount of food he eats.
