MSNBC host and NBC News's chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd was inadvertently caught on camera giving the middle finger Tuesday on "Morning Joe."
Todd was standing with NBC's "Meet the Press" host David Gregory during an introduction when viewers got a glimpse of Todd flipping somebody off, seemingly unaware the gesture was being broadcast on live TV.
Both Todd and Gregory appeared in the following "Morning Joe" segment with no mention of the incident.
An embarrassed Todd later tweeted an apology to viewers acknowledging the gaffe.
"The camera is always on. A lesson some of us never learn. My apologies. Am personally embarrassed. Was a joke with someone on other side," tweeted Todd.
