Husband and wife politicos Mary Matalin and James Carville crossed party lines to promote Maker's Mark bourbon in a new ad.
Matalin, a Republican strategist, and Carville, a Democratic strategist play off their famous political differences, until they both raise their glasses in agreement on their drink of choice.
"It isn't about the Tea Party," says Carville.
"It isn't about the Green Party," responds Matalin.
"It isn't about the Independent Party. It isn't about the Libertarian Party. It isn't about the Democratic Party and it isn't about the Republican Party, but it is about The Cocktail Party. Maker's Mark proudly supports The Cocktail Party," the pair says back-and-forth.
Maker's Mark, known for it's red wax-inspired seal, is owned by Beam, the fourth largest spirits company in the world.
The husband and wife team have used their partisan divide to their advantage before. The two appeared as themselves in the short-lived HBO series "K Street" and both have worked as regular television commentators.
