Walker avoided being recalled Tuesday, defeating the Milwaukee mayor, who conceded the race shortly after 11 p.m. ET. The defeat dealt a major blow to both Democrats and unions, as well as a sign the state could be in play in the presidential election.
Walker had 54 percent of the vote to Barrett's 46, with 93 percent of precincts reporting.
