Tina Fey has 'nooooo' plans to enter politics

By Judy Kurtz - 01/31/13 01:33 PM ET

Tina Fey doesn’t plan to take her small screen schtick as a politician to the real-life campaign trail.

The “Saturday Night Live” alum says in a new video posted on NBC’s website that she’s staying out of politics. In the clip, Fey reads a question from a viewer that asks, “I loved you as Palin on ‘SNL.’ Do you have any desire to go into a career in politics now that ‘30 Rock’ is ending?”

Fey, who won praise for her spot-on impression of former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on the sketch comedy show, replies, “First of all, I should say it’s probably disrespectful to just say, ‘as Palin.’ ” She then quips, “You should use the person’s full name and say that, ‘I loved you as Mrs. Governor America Sarance Palin, is her full name.”

Fey then addresses whether she’s interested in a political career, loudly singing, “Nooooo!”

While she’s not yearning for the gig herself, the comedienne will get a visit from an actual lawmaker on the series finale of her hit NBC show, “30 Rock.”

The last episode of the show, airing on Thursday, which Fey writes and stars in, features a cameo by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
