Taking a bite out of the Pentagon

The Pentagon’s budget will be reduced to 2007 levels if the sequester takes effect on Friday. Defense advocates say the cuts would hollow out American power. Others argue that the military has excess fat to cut.

The sequester is about to take a big bite out of the Pentagon, putting the military’s dire warnings about a “hollowed out” force to the ultimate test.
