The actress, who portrays a fictional vice president in the show, last week had lunch with the very real Vice President Biden at the White House. A photo released by Biden’s office shows a smiling Louis-Dreyfus sitting at his desk.
“I’m afraid not. I’m so sorry, but we really can’t,” Louis-Dreyfus says she would tell Biden.
The actress, 52, explained, “We keep this entirely fictional only because we don’t want to align ourselves with one party or the other. And in addition to that, we think it’s important to keep this world very much a fantasy political world and unidentifiable in terms of partisan politics.”
The Hill caught up with Louis-Dreyfus at a Thursday screening of “Veep’s” second season at the Motion Picture Association of America headquarters in downtown Washington.
