Bill Clinton adopts 'more dignified' Twitter handle

In the introduction to the segment, Colbert sends tweets to Clinton's daughter, Chelsea, urging her to get the former president to tweet more often. He also offers to provide lessons in how to use the social media network to the former president, leading to this exchange:








On the show, Clinton said he was initially reluctant because he was not sure "I have room on my schedule to tweet." But, Clinton said, ultimately he saw value in using the social media tool to reach a new audience.

But, Clinton warned, don't expect to see him tweeting celebrities like Justin Bieber and Kanye West.

"I don't think I'll tweet a lot of celebrities," Clinton said. "I mean, I want to talk about about the work of my foundation, the work we do in healthcare and reversing global warming and promoting economic growth."
