Late night smash: Christie vs. Paul

The two Republicans have butted heads this week over national defense and federal spending. In his latest jab, Paul labeled Christie the “king of bacon” on CNN over the New Jersey's governor accepting federal funds after Hurricane Sandy.

Fallon made light of the political spat.

"In response [to Paul's bacon comment], Christie fired back: 'That kind of name-calling is beneath the office you hold sir. ... But just to clarify, would I be the king of real juicy pork bacon or that gross generic turkey bacon?' " Fallon joked.

Christie (R) turned down an offer Wednesday from Paul to get a beer and end the nearly week-long feud.

"I’m running for reelection in New Jersey," Christie said to Eric Scott on 101.5 FM's "Ask The Governor" program. "I don’t really have time for that at the moment."
