Speaker John Boehner defended the GOP’s insistence that ObamaCare be delayed or defunded as part of a deal to restart the shuttered federal government, calling the landmark law and related regulations a threat to younger Americans.
Speaking Sunday on ABC’s "This Week with George Stephanopoulos," Boehner (R-Ohio) maintained the House GOP Conference is united behind the demand.
“They believe that ObamaCare, all these regulations coming out of the administration, are threatening the future for our kids and our grandkids,” Boehner said. “It is time for us to stand and fight.”
Boehner’s remarks come as the government shutdown stretched into a second week, with no clear end in sight.
