Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) slammed Iran’s government Thursday saying the “regime is dangerous, and I think they’re crazy.”
Speaking on Fox News, the senator argued that reports of an Iranian plot to employ Mexican drug cartels to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington highlighted the danger the Iranian government posses to the world.
“Anybody in his job, President Obama’s job needs to let the world know where we’re going with Iran,” Graham said calling on the president to clarify his Iran policy and muster world support against the regime.
He urged Obama as well as GOP presidential candidates to not take Iran’s quest to obtain nuclear weapons lightly.
Graham said that while the candidates were rightly focused on domestic issues, they should be paying attention to “equally important things going on in the world,” such as the threat of a nuclear Iran.
