Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) said Wednesday that Republicans only hear ordinary Americans' jobs concerns when they visit less exclusive locations.
“They don’t want to admit it but they’re more and more understanding," Brown said on MSNBC. "When they go home, when they’re not going to their country clubs, if they’re going almost anywhere else, they’re hearing people talk about ... about hiring teachers ... about putting police officers back to work ... about fixing that bridge.”
Brown was addressing congressional Democrats' new strategy of breaking up President Obama’s jobs bill and holding votes on portions separately.
