The Majority PAC, the Democratic super-PAC focused on Senate races, is up with new ads ripping Rep. Rick Berg (R-N.D.) and Missouri businessman John Brunner (R).
The anti-Berg ad slams him for voting with House Republicans to "end Medicare," and says he's "gone Washington." The anti-Brunner ad rips his claims that he created jobs, pointing to reports that he loaded his company with debt and merged it with a Tennessee-based company.
Missouri's GOP primary is still playing out, with Brunner the slight favorite over former state Treasurer Sarah Steelman (R) and Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) in third place in the race. The group's decision to attack Brunner indicates it might prefer Steelman in the general election.
The North Dakota ad is running statewide, while the Missouri ad is running in the St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield media markets. The group is spending nearly $500,000 on the two ads and one running in Wisconsin that attacks former Gov. Tommy Thompson (R) and businessman Eric Hovde (R). That ad has not yet been released.
